How To Remove Indoor Graffiti?

  • This info-graphic titled ‘How to remove indoor graffiti’ provides us an overview of some tips to remove graffiti. Graffiti can come out virtually anywhere, especially schools, arenas, parks and other areas where young groups congregate. Whether it’s written inside a stall door, or stained across an exterior wall, using the proper products and method is key to removing the unsightly scribbles.

Indoors, graffiti problems happen in many places, but nearly always show up on office desks or classroom table tops, study carrels, restroom walls, and elevator walls. Frequent media include ballpoint and felt-tip pens, pencils or knife blades. White rectification fluid also can be painted onto surfaces. Citrus-based cleaners often will work on inks on wooden surfaces. To remove ink, spray some product on the surface, tap it lightly and then neutralize with water. Repeat if required. Some foam and some paste dry cleaners, which remain in place until rubbed off, work healthy on vertical surfaces.

Abrasive cleansers can many a times fade scratched-in graffiti. However, custodians often bear down too difficult with abrasive cleansers or pads, and they harm the surface. On a wood or Formica surface, this can make the spot more endangered to future graffiti, which could spread into the unprotected, porous material. Alternatively, use non-abrasive cleaners and soft cotton pads. For more information, please refer to the info-graphic below.
